  • Perform all routine analyses of musts and wines, including collecting tank and barrel samples
  • Maintain laboratory quality and precision standards
  • Investigate out-of-specification analysis
  • Monitor tank fermentations during harvest
  • Process grape maturity samples
  • Assist in the preparation of tastings and harvest-related trials
  • Record and retrieve analytical results
  • Participate in routine bottling line analysis


Education :                  

  • B.S. in Enology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
  • Or practical/professional experience in a food or beverage processing laboratory may be acceptable.

Languages :

  • EnglishProfessional experience & know how :
  • Lab internship at an accredited university, and/or 2 years of experience working in a laboratory (preferred).

Technical & management skills :

  • Knowledge of lab analysis and methodology.
  • Familiar with, or interested in, learning Méthode Champenoise.
  • Knowledge of the production of still and sparkling wine from crush to finished product.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.

Computer skills, including, word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and AMS:


  • Ability to work flexible work shifts and schedules

Personal & interpersonal skills :

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and with different departments to coordinate a result
