Our HR team is seeking an energetic self-starter who is interested to gain hands-on experience in a multitude of essential HR functions.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Intern will assist in all generalist functions of the department. Policies, internal communications, employee engagement, learning & development, recruitment and digital tools. Some specific projects will be assigned as per business needs, for instance: support with company events, training, organizational needs, harvest and project reporting. The HR Intern will also assist in logistics for recruitment, integration & administration of all staff, with a focus on non-exempt staff especially during Harvests & Visitor Center peak season.
-Create, generate and update contents around all our HR activities, from recruitment and employee engagement to learning and development in order to constantly ensure a strong presence of the winery on the web, internally and externally.
-Assist the HR Manager & HR Admin on the execution of internal communication initiatives related to hard & soft HR activities, using the local intranet, SharePoint, HR mailbox, newsletter, and LinkedIn. Constantly reshape and innovate the processes to find improvement opportunities.
-Assist the HR Admin in the recruitment of all non-exempt/hourly staff in all functions of the Winery: Administration (Finance/HR/WCB/NPD), Visitor Center (Lounge/Salon/Retail), and Operations (Cellar/Production): write & post job ads, analysis of profiles, sorting potential resumes and candidates, set-up and spearhead interviews (phone screen and face to face interviews)
-Assist in Job/Career Fair preparation
-Assist the HR Admin on the wine distribution, in coordination with Warehouse: WAP, Thanksgiving & Christmas, new releases
-When required, assist HR Manager with the annual PCR/ICR process in creation of spreadsheets and internal communications, leave of absences administration, recruitment, and company events logistics.
EDUCATION: Degree or undergraduate in an HR or Business-related area required
LANGUAGES: English (spoken and written), Spanish a plus
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND 'KNOW HOW’:
-Prior experience (including internship) in the field of HR
-Knowledge of HR administrative and clerical procedures, managing files and records, designing processes, and other procedures and terminology.
-Familiar with Wine industry and/or Hospitality a plus
-Familiar with HR Information systems as well as good knowledge of MS office required
