    The mission for this role is to perform beginning to intermediate cellar operations with limited supervision in order to create premium wines.


    -Assist skilled cellar workers.

    -Perform routine operation of pumps and filters to rack, transfer, and clarify juice and wine.

    -Responsible for sanitation in all areas of cellar operations including tanks, floors, fittings, and all other equipment.

    -Follow and complete work order instructions in detail.

    -Collect wine samples and general support for laboratory sampling.

    -Measure, weigh, and perform chemical additions to wine.

    -Perform equipment maintenance such as hose repair, general pump maintenance, and general winery maintenance.

    -Perform routine barrel work including: receiving, prepping, filling, topping, cleaning/sanitation, and inventory.

    -Monitor and set tank temperature during fermentation, stabilization and storage.

    -Safely operate forklift and handcarts.

    -Responsible for shipping and receiving of wine tankers and grape deliveries

    -Participate in safey, department and company meetings.

    -Conduct inventory on wine and supplies.


    Education: High school diploma or GED required.                    


    Languages: English


    Professional experience & know how:

    -Minimum 1 year winery cellar experience preferred.

    -Knowledge or ability to learn safe cellar practices, including safe handling of chemicals.

    -Knowledge of winery cellar operating procedures.

    -Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
